On February 1st we will see in the skies above us, the rise of The February Full Moon, known as The Snow Moon.
Furthermore, we will also celebrate Imbolc as part of the Pagan Wheel of The Year. Imbolc is that important point of the year which is midway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox.
As well as being linked to honouring St Brigid, a Celtic Goddess of old, it is a time of personal re-birth and re-alignment. Together, these two mark quite an auspicious event.
The Snow Moon this year is in the Astrological sign of Leo, a Fire sign.
With these two opposites of Fire and Snow, we may find ourselves feeling over emotional, ‘fired up’ and / or in need of creatively or emotionally ‘letting off steam’. At the same time, we may find ourselves feeling ‘cold’ towards something or indeed…someone.
We should not be too surprised then, if we find ourselves with mixed feelings and emotions. We use the expression ‘blowing hot and cold’. This then may be a time of feeling ‘up and down’ and with that feeling, comes uncertainty.
All the Full Moons provide an opportunity for making positive affirmations to enable us to move forwards.
As we see the start of growth returning to the trees, shrubs and flowers – and the bulbs begin to surface and develop from beneath the Earth, we too should perhaps take this midway point to re-align ourselves. It is a great time to think about what we want or need to focus on, in order to ‘grow and develop’ as we start this year.
With all this in mind, this is the perfect time to consider a Tarot Reading and ask:
What do I need to leave behind, what attributes do I need to acquire or develop for my own self growth or self advancement and / or simply ask – what comes next for me at this important point in the calendar?
